So we’re just one week away from the Public Services 2.0: how to implement and promote user-driven open innovation in public services event in Brussels, put together by FutureGov, Euro guru David Osimo and social computing consultancy Headshift.

The session is now completely booked out in terms of delegates on the day, but there are other ways in which you can follow the session, and take part in it, from the comfort of your chair.

Video man in chief Gavin Ricketts will be live streaming the event for us, complete with Twitter style backchannel to allow you all to participate wherever you are (big thanks to Shane McCracken over at Gallomanor for arranging this for us). The video will be shown here on the FutureGov site from 9am UK time, as well as over on David Osimo’s blog. The videos and presentations will also be available after the conference - fingers crossed!

We’ve set up the obligatory ‘official’ Twitter account for the event for you to follow over at @eups20, although Lee Bryant, Justin Kerr-Stevens, David Osimo and I (@dominiccampbell) will be tweeting from our personal accounts just as frequently so feel free to follow us there as well.

And last but not least, both for anyone coming along the event or even those of you watching from home, the event tags will be ‘eups20′ for related content (Flickr, blogs and the like) and the hashtag will be #eups20 over on twitter.

Thanks also go to Jon Udell who has put together an aggregated RSS feed and a pagecast on pageflakes especially for the event.

See you Monday, either in person or online.

  1. Ah, that picture makes me wish I was able to come over with you. I lived in Bruxelles as a kid and visits to the Atomiun were fabulous for a 7 year old. Hope it goes well and I look forward to watching it unfold.

  2. Can anyone tell me how to get the video stream to display on my TV? The decoder complains “Compressed SWF format not supported” when I enter the URL.

  3. Perhaps upgrade flash?

  4. I am having troubles with streming: cannot get it. While loding the page, it goves me errore and then below the video it says :

    disconnetted (security)
    reconnect…

Too bad!! If anybody has advice, I would love to follow the event.

  6. The TV is running the latest firmware. Adobe’s Flash doesn’t run on TVs. I gave up on this video stream. It’s a shame that so many public services events have been captured by particular vendors, instead of using open standard formats.
